Colleagues praised at Hornchurch care home for quick thinking braveryCiara Neylon, and Kelly Barber, two Colleagues from HC-One’s The Hornchurch care home, were praised for their quick thinking bravery recently as they assisted an elderly lady outside of the home.

Upon visiting a bank within the local area, the pair witnessed a lady fall to the road, hitting her head and sustaining an injury. The duo raced to the lady’s side, intervening to stop the bleeding and using their initiative and basic life support to tend to the lady.

The pair ensured traffic was stopped from the street to prevent any further danger, and preventing the lady from being moved until the ambulance crew arrived.

The crew praised the pair of Colleagues, thanking them for their quick thinking in helping the lady.

Tania Banner, home manager, commented: “I am so proud to have such fantastic Colleagues within my team, we have such great community spirit and pride in all that we do.”
