Colleagues at Roseberry Court take part in Letter to an Elder DayOn the 26th of February, Colleagues at Roseberry Court, residential and residential dementia care home, in Redcar, participated in National Letter to an Elder Day.

Colleagues throughout the home chose a Resident at random to write a letter for on National Letter for an Elder Day.

Letters were adapted for each and every Residents needs. For those Residents who were unable to see, Colleagues wrote them a letter via text message so the letter could be read aloud to them.

Throughout the home Residents read their letters and Colleagues assisted those that needed. One Resident helped others unable to read and it was fantastic to see them coming together to share smiles from contents of the letters.

The hugs and smiles made for a lovely afternoon and conversation about the letters went into the evening.

Leighanne, a Colleagues, at Roseberry Court, remarked, “I loved this activity it has been so lovely to see all the smiles.”

Kelly Levick, Care Home Manager, added, “Well done team, you are all amazing. We just love seeing all of our Residents smiling.”
