Colleagues at Consett care home host fundraising eventColleagues at Greenways Court, residential and residential dementia care home in Consett, hosted a fundraising event to raise money for the Residents Fund.

Some of the Colleagues at Greenways Court thought it would be a great idea to have a fundraiser event for the Residents Funds. Everyone put their heads together and came up with the idea of having a ‘bouncy bingo’.

A poster was made and displayed around the home, for all Residents, visitors and Relatives to see.
The event consisted of musical bingo, sit down bingo with games in between and there were prizes for all, it was held in the local Demi Social Club, who very kindly gave the Colleagues the room to use.

When the social club heard the event was to raise money for the Residents Fund they offered the room for free.

A grand total made from the event was £758.35, which is a huge amount of money for the Residents Fund. Residents will be able to go on trips and received lots of special treats.

The event was fantastic, and everyone said they had a fun filled night.

Kinga Kowaliczek, Care Home Manager, remarked, “I am so proud of the team for all the money raised for the Residents Fund. Everyone worked so hard and the night was great!”
