HC-One’s Gittisham Hill House care home in Honiton recently enjoyed a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The home proudly displayed a beautiful, home made 3-tier cake alongside a variety of other cakes and treats created by Colleagues.
Games were played and prizes won by many as Residents, Relatives and friends enjoyed the morning. A member of the kitchen team purchased the 3-tier cake and handed a slice to each Resident, with the funds from the purchase, going towards the worthwhile cause.
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the morning and joining in with the games. The event raised a wonderful £139.50 which will go towards Macmillan Cancer Support.
Marita Westaway, Home Manager, commented: “This morning has been wonderful, we raised a great sum for a worthwhile cause, and the Residents have really enjoyed themselves.”
