At Grimsby’s
Clarendon Hall care home, which offers residential and nursing care, Home Manager Nicola Walker has been discussing all the wonderful plans Colleagues have arranged for Care Home Open Week in a few weeks’ time.
Care Home Open Week is a little different this year with the activities across the nation taking part over a week, as opposed to just one day as with previous years. It is hosted by Championing Social Care, a volunteer-led group with the aim of ensuring public understanding, appreciation and respect for social care.
The home has organised for a hurdy-gurdy player (which is a string instrument) to come in to entertain everyone. This will be followed by a puppet show from ‘Puppet Power’.
The home’s catering team have also planned a buffet so there will be plenty of delicious treats for everyone to enjoy.
The event is starting from 2.30pm onwards on Friday 1st July
Nicola commented, “We are very excited for the plans for the Open Day and wish to welcome all Relatives and members of the local community.”
