At South Wales’
Church View residential care and residential memory care home, Residents have been getting into the Christmas spirit and building up relationships in the local area.
This December, the home was given a big box of Christmas cards from their local Asda supermarket store, in Caerphilly. These cards were all lovingly decorated and coloured by local children of Bedwas school.
The colourings that were done brightly and certainly brought a smile to Residents’ faces (see pictured Trina).
Val, who is a Resident at the home, said, “How lovely is it that they were thinking of us!
On 22nd December, St Martins Church Choir visited Church View and braved the cold conditions to entertain Residents and bring a bit of festive cheer!
Residents enjoyed singing along with the group. Shirley, who lives at the home, ordered, “Come on, get your hands in the air for them!”
What a brilliant atmosphere for all!
Marie Mills, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “We are so lucky to have such a beautiful building and group of people on our doorstep!”
