From Christmas carolling to bauble and parties, the festive celebrations at Wosley Lodge care home, in Manchester, have been far and wide this month and everyone has had a simply brilliant time!
This week, Residents made baubles to give, as a surprise, to their families for Christmas.
Resident Eileen, gave hers to her family and her daughter, pictured left, who was over the moon and thought it was a fantastic idea! She said this made her feel emotional with happiness, and made her day even better seeing her mum and receiving this gift.
Today, Residents all enjoyed the Christmas party which started with a buffet lunch, followed by prize bingo with afternoon drinks, cakes, chocolates, singing and the staff choir.
A group of Colleagues practised carol singing for the Residents, Then today came in and sang to them all. The Residents loved it. Colleagues also went to the rooms of people that like to stay in their rooms to do their singing too, so everyone could hear.
Everyone said they had a lovely day and it made it feel more like Christmas.
After the party, Home Manager, Anne Bannon, told a few Christmas jokes and made everyone laugh. The perfect end to a perfect day. She commented, “Great day had by all and nice to see a great team work and Christmas spirit from the staff.”
