Residents at HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home decided they would like to visit their local restaurant to enjoy a Christmas meal, which Colleagues agreed would be a lovely idea.
Everyone decided that they would like to visit the local Saltwells Pub to enjoy a three-course meal, which they enjoyed, as crackers were pulled and silly jokes were shared with one another.
Residents reminisced of Christmases they spent with their families, and the favourite traditions they had in their childhood.
Colleagues enjoyed listening to the stories Residents told, finding out about their past lives. Linda Wilkes, home manager, commented: “Everyone has fully enjoyed themselves today, it’s been lovely to take the Residents out for a delicious meal.”
