HC-One’s Riverside View care home in Dundee welcomed ZooLab on Friday 20th December for a festive visit.
Residents and visitors gathered in the lounge for Christmas creepy crawly presentation, with ZooLab representative, Ross and his friends, which included a giant snail, cockroaches, hermit crabs, a corn snake, tarantula, stick insects and a bearded dragon.
Ross provided interesting facts about the different creatures including their habitat, diet and characteristics, Residents were also given the opportunity to hold the animals. One Resident commented: “I always look forward to animal visits, it is always nice to hear about their different lives.”
Lynsey Robbie, Home Manager at Riverside View said: “Thank you to Ross and ZooLab for providing such an engaging and informative presentation for our Residents, it was something a little bit different from the normal activities during the festive season.”
