Christmas crafts at Norton Lees care homeResidents at Holmwood care home in Norton Lees, Sheffield got into the festive spirit with an exciting Christmas arts and crafts session.

As part of the care home’s commitment to helping the environment, Residents chose to use recycled materials to make their Christmas decorations.

Catherine, a Colleague at Holmwood, brought in a bag filled with old CDs that Residents transformed into scented hanging Christmas decorations.

Each Resident chose their own designs and colour schemes. As they were creating the decorations, Resident Irene commented on how lovely the scents were and how they reminded her of Christmas.

Vicki Leck, Home Manager at Holmwood, said: “The Christmas craft session was a great success amongst Residents living at Holmwood. The home looks and smells amazing with these beautiful decorations are on display!”
