Christmas cheer for all to hear at Peterlee Care HomeA sprinkle of Christmas cheer filled the corridors at HC-One’s Grampian Court Care Home in Peterlee, County Durham, as Residents welcomed in the festive season with a fayre.

Everyone joined in to make the fayre a huge success, Sadie’s daughter Marie was happy to sell raffle tickets and Ida’s daughter-in-law Sue brought along baby blankets, which she had knitted, and Christmas cards that she had made to sell.

Grampian Court opened its doors to members of the local community for festive activities such a tombola, lucky dip bags, reindeer hot chocolate cones, handmade by the Residents, were also on sale and everyone had the chance to purchase tickets for the Christmas raffle.

Altogether, an amazing £735.65 was raised for the Resident’s comfort fund.

Rita Luke commented:

“The Christmas Fayre has been really good and I won a great prize on the Lucky Dip bags.”

Kay Rudd, Home Manager at Grampian Court, commented:

“A fantastic amount of money has been raised at this years’ Christmas Fayre.

Thank you to all of my Colleagues, the Residents, Relatives and visiting professionals who have brought in donations or made purchases at the fayre.”
