Christmas cheer for all to hear at Milton Keynes care home festive feteA sprinkle of Christmas cheer filled the corridors at HC-One’s Highclere care home in Milton Keynes, as Residents welcomed in the festive season with a fete.

Highclere opened its doors to members of the community, selling homemade gifts such as homemade bags and wreathes as well as hosting a tombola and raffle, all whilst enjoying seasonal hot drinks and nibbles.

Santa stopped by to say hello to Residents and to give a little pre-Christmas gifts to the lovely girls from the local community Brownies group. A great time was had by all, one Resident commented that it was lovely to sing with the Brownies as she used to be a Brownie when she was a young girl.

Vivien Pereira, Home Manager at Highclere said:

“Christmas is a time when people young and old should come together to celebrate the festive season. Everyone was in good spirits and enjoying what was on offer and we are delighted at the turnout.

“Thank you to everyone who attended, it really got us counting down the days to Christmas at Highclere.”

Christmas fayres took place in a large number of HC-One homes this year, providing members of the community and Relatives of Residents with the opportunity to get involved in the day-to-day activities of their local care home.
