Christmas cheer for all to hear at Hamilton care homeA sprinkle of Christmas cheer filled the corridors at HC-One’s Douglas View care home in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire as Residents welcomed in the festive season with a market.

Douglas View opened its doors to members of the community, selling homemade gifts whilst enjoying seasonal hot drinks and nibbles. Santa stopped by to meet the children and say hello to the Residents, Home Manager, Katy Jenks and Deputy Manager, Lyndsey Barnes were Santa’s Elves for the day, spreading festive cheer to one and all.

Katy Jenks, Home Manager at Douglas View commented:

“Christmas is a time when people young and old should come together to celebrate the festive season. Everyone was in good spirits and enjoying what was on offer and we are delighted at the turnout.

“Thank you to everyone who attended, it really got us counting down the days to Christmas at Douglas View.

Christmas fayres and markets took place in a large number of HC-One homes this year, providing members of the community and Relatives of Residents with the opportunity to get involved in the day-to-day activities of their local care home.
