Christmas cheer for all to hear at Colton LodgesColton Lodges care home in Leeds organised a host of exciting festive activities for Residents and their families to enjoy.

The activities started off with a trip to see Puss in Boots in Pantomime, followed by a Christmas Fayre where Residents had the opportunity to browse the stalls to buy homemade gifts for their loved ones.

Colton Lodges also held several fundraising events, which included staff dressing up for Elf Day to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society, followed by a coffee morning where Residents enjoyed homemade cakes with tea and coffee.

Each unit in the home also enjoyed a Christmas party to help them get into the festive spirit, with entertainers Chris Jeffries, Brandon Cooke and an Elvis impersonator performing for the Residents.

The festivities were rounded off with staff handing out Christmas gifts and chocolates to all the Residents to wish them a Merry Christmas.

One Resident commented: “I have had such a lovely time celebrating the Christmas period. The staff at Colton Lodges have really made it feel special.”

Dianne Hashmi, Home Manager at Colton Lodges, said: “Our Residents have thoroughly enjoyed the range of activities we had on offer during the run-up to Christmas. The home has had a brilliant atmosphere, with smiles and laughter all around.”
