Residents at White Gables care home in Lincoln have been celebrating the Christmas period with a host of exciting festive activities.
Thunder the Therapy Husky was invited to the home for cuddles with Residents, while everyone enjoyed a coffee morning with guest singer Elizabeth Rees, who performed opera, show songs and Christmas carols.
Staff and Residents also enjoyed a taster of ‘Christmas around the World, where they sampled traditional cuisine from countries around the globe, including Poland, Greece, Italy and America.
The activities were rounded off with a Christmas pamper party, where Residents joined in with games and entertainment provided by the home’s Wellbeing staff.
One Resident commented: “I really enjoyed meeting Thunder the Therapy Husky and listening to some of my favourite Christmas songs.”
Catherine Mitchell, Home Manager at White Gables, said: “We offer a wide range of exciting activities at White Gables, meaning that each Resident can get involved with something they enjoy. It’s great to see the Residents smiling and getting into the festive spirit.”
