Residents at St Clare’s Court celebrated Chinese New Year on Friday.
The dining room was decorated by the Residents themselves and whilst they worked they discussed the holiday.
The care staff organised a Chinese themed menu and it went down a treat!
Each of the ladies was given a Chinese fan with their meal, whilst everyone received a fortune cookie. The Residents loved reading their fortunes and the men even enjoyed the Chinese fans!
After the evening meal, the celebrations continued with a happy hour where alcohol and non-alcohol drinks were served with a sing-a-long.
Mrs Shaw, a Resident at St Clare’s Court, said:
“I had a great time celebrating Chinese New Year, it brought memories back from when we lived in Singapore.”
