Residents and Colleagues, at
Sheraton Court, residential and residential dementia care home in Hartlepool, celebrated Chinese New Year.
The home was decorated with lots of beautiful decorations which the Residents thought looked fantastic. Leading up to Chinese New Year the Residents worked really hard to make dragons, which was displayed around the home.
The Residents enjoyed getting together for the craft session. They spoke about the Chinese culture, trips the Residents have been on to China and when the first time was that they tried Chinese food and when they made it at home.
Hilda, has visited China and she remarked, “China is a lovely place to visit and I have many wonderful memories from the trip.”
David, the Chef at the care home, prepared some delicious authentic Chinese cuisine for the Residents to try.
Betty loved her meal, she said, “The smell was wonderful, reminds me of cooking for everyone.”
Carole Thomson, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was a wonderful evening and the food was beautiful. The home looked great, and the Residents really enjoyed it.”
