Glanffrwd care home in Bridgend started off the Year of the Pig with a host of Chinese New Year celebrations for Residents to enjoy.
Rachel, Wellbeing Coordinator at Glanffrwd, held a flower arranging session for Residents, where they created beautiful centrepieces for the home’s Chinese New Year meal.
The occasion was also marked with Rachel making her very own Chinese dragon costume, which she wore to visit Residents in their beds and danced through the room during the meal.
One Resident said: “I loved every moment of the Chinese New Year, especially the visit we got from Chow!”
Joan Thomas, Home Manager at Glanffrwd, said: “Everyone at Glanffrwd made an excellent effort to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Residents did a tremendous job of creating the flowers, which really brightened up the home ready for our celebratory meal.”
