Celebrations were in order at HC-One’s The Hornchurch care home as the home held an event on behalf of Children in Need on Friday 15th November.
The home was decorated with balloons and posters, whilst refreshments and home made cakes were served in the reception area.
Colleagues supported the charity by wearing pyjamas and donating to the cause, whilst everyone also got involved in the duck race sweepstake, raising around £40 with this activity alone.
Relatives enjoyed getting involved with the event, with one kindly donating a home made Pudsey Bear cake, which was used as a raffle prize.
To end the afternoon’s excitement, everyone enjoyed an afternoon tea, reflecting on the day’s events. Tania Banner, home manager, commented: “Everyone has really enjoyed themselves today, events such as this, are a wonderful way for everyone to come together to raise awareness, and we have enjoyed contributing to this charity.”
