HC-One’s Waterside care home will be welcoming twenty new Residents this Easter with the ‘Ready to Hatch’ programme from Living Eggs.
This unique experience will allow Residents and staff at Waterside to watch and care for chick eggs as they are about to hatch. The home will be looking after twenty warm fertilized eggs for twelve days with an incubator in each lounge for the Residents to witness the daily changes that will occur.
Staff have already organised some special activities for the time they are looking after the chicks including chick bingo, crosswords, chick card craft and a fantastic Easter party.
Both Residents and staff are looking forward to the wonderful experience and will be sharing stories about for animals of all shapes and sizes during their time with the chicks.
