Chelmsford care home Residents receive kind donation from churchResidents at HC-One’s Admirals Reach care home were delighted to receive a lovely gift from the local St. Andrews Church.

The local church kindly knitted a variety of ‘twiddle muffs’ and gifted them to the home to be given to Residents, bringing great pleasure to each person.

Twiddle muffs are knitted muffs with items such as ribbons, beads and various fabrics attached to help provide a source of sensory stimulation for Residents with dementia.

The Residents especially enjoy the muffs as they enjoy the various colours and textures of each one, with each one designed differently to the next.

Lal Mangalam, home manager, commented: “It was such a kind gesture from the church to knit these muffs for our Residents. They have been very well received.”
