Chaseview care home Residents enjoy coronation and cakeResidents at HC-One's 60-bed Chaseview care home, in Burntwood, Staffordshire, enjoyed a busy coronation weekend together accompanied by Relatives, Colleagues and a delicious afternoon tea.

On the Saturday the communal lounge was very quiet as Residents were engrossed in the pomp and ceremony of the coronation service. Once the formalities were complete there was a lively discussion about the attendees’ outfits and the royal carriage, and how it compared to Chaseview’s own mock carriage which had been constructed as part of the coronation week preparations.

On Sunday the weekend celebrations continued with music, refreshments, and laughs. Residents enjoyed cakes and hot drinks and played with some of the coronation party accessories, including a selection of fun Charles and Camilla face masks.

Wendy Mapp, Resident at Chaseview, said “We had a fabulous time today!”

Charlotte Green, Unit Manager at Chaseview care home, said: “It’s been lovely watching everyone enjoy the coronation. We have a wonderful, family-like community here and on occasions like this it really is fantastic seeing everyone celebrate this historic event together”.
