Residents at HC-One’s Charters Court Care, in East Grinstead, West Sussex, are celebrating after their entry in a festive ‘Season’s Greetings’ card competition was named the winner.
Around a dozen residents at the care home, which offers residential, nursing, and residential dementia care, worked together to produce the card in their weekly arts and crafts sessions. They helped with the layout and design of the card and the fixing together of all the individual pieces.
The card's theme was inclusivity, and it aims to depict aspects of embracing individual diversities and coming home.
The design was then entered into a company-wide competition, with all 263 HC-One care homes participating, and was voted the best by an internal HC-One panel after a blind-judging process.
It will now be made into an e-card which will be distributed to all HC-One homes in the UK and sent out to customer suppliers throughout this festive season - meaning thousands of people will get to see and enjoy the card.
