Celebrating a century at Staffordshire care homeToday at Chaseview in Burntwood, which provides residential, nursing and memory care, celebrated a very special birthday.

Betty, a Resident at Chaseview celebrated her 100th birthday! She turned 100 today and the home and Residents have been working to make it as special as possible. Throughout the day Betty had many visits in the garden from her family, which was all decorated nicely for them. They had some wonderful photos taken together and commented on how lovely the place looked, and lauded the efforts from all the staff towards this special day.

Betty received some beautiful cards and gifts from her loved ones and was over the moon when she opened her telegram from the Queen! The day after the birthday, Colleagues around the home had arranged a big party for her to celebrate in style. The room was decorated with rose gold decor which Betty loved.

All Residents enjoyed a lovely buffet style dinner consisting of various party foods, this was followed by some party games and a good ole sing and dance.

Speaking afterwards, Betty couldn’t praise the staff enough for their hard work and everything they had done over the two days. She said, “What lovely decorations, is this really all for me?” which it all was!

Jennifer, the Home Manager said “It was lovely to be able to celebrate such a milestone in Bettys life, a huge well done to all of the staff for making it so special for her”.
