Castletown Care Team shortlisted for The Putting People First Personalisation Award at the Great BriHC-One’s Northview Lodge Care Home in Castletown, Tyne and Wear, a 45-bed residential and nursing care home, has been shortlisted for The Putting People First/Personalisation Award Category at the Great British Care Awards 2022 for the North East region. 

The nomination for the award is in recognition of their hard work and kind care shown to Residents, Relatives and Colleagues as well as the dedication and passion the care team shows every day to ensure the people they support receive the best quality care.

The team at Northview Lodge always focus on person-centred care, striving to provide the highest quality, kind and compassionate care to make a difference to the one that matters, the Residents in their care. Northview Lodge offers specialist care to adults experiencing enduring mental health issues and care to adults experiencing cognitive impairment as the result of a physical event. 

The aim at Northview Lodge is to create a supportive, stimulating home for younger people who will benefit from the kindest possible care, support and nurture to help them to achieve new levels of self-confidence and independence so that they can feel that they are progressing in life and achieving greater fulfilment.

Area Director, Alison Hunter, who nominated Northview Lodge’s care team for the award, said:

“I am delighted that Northview Lodge has been shortlisted as a finalist in The Putting People First/Personalisation Award category. The whole team are amazing and work so hard in their roles.”

The Great British Care Awards consist of 23 awards, which cover a wide range of areas of the social care sector. The awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of distinction across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to those who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their area of work. The award ceremony of the Great British Care Awards 2022, regional awards for the North East region takes place at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park, in Newcastle on Thursday 10th November 2022 when the winners will be announced. Successful winners at the North East regional awards will progress to the national finals of the Great British Care Awards 2023 taking place on Friday 17th March 2023 at the ICC in Birmingham.

In total 20 HC-One Colleagues have been shortlisted for the Great British Care Awards in the North East.
