Castletown care home transforms into a winter wonderlandResidents and the team at HC-One’s Northview Lodge Care Home in Castletown, Tyne and Wear, have thrown themselves into the festive season with a decoration competition launched by Home Manager Paddy Morley.

On the 1st December Paddy asked his Colleagues and the Residents if they would like to take part in a Christmas decoration competition, with a £50 prize awaiting the winner.

So far, everyone has been extremely creative, transforming the main Reception area into a comfy living room and even making their own snow globe featuring ‘Kevin the Carrot’.

The Residents have really enjoyed being part of the process and have played a huge part in the festive transformation in the home. Sheila Warby commented:

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!”

Visiting Pharmacist, Helen Robson, commented:

“Wow! It’s like walking into a Winter Wonderland.”

Paddy Morley, Home Manager at Northview Lodge, commented:

“I am constantly heartened by the way that the staff and Residents at Northview always go the extra mile.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without Kevin the Carrot!”

The competition winner will be announced on Christmas Day – good luck everyone!
