Castletown care home hosts Halloween spook-tacularResidents at HC-One’s Northview Lodge care home in Castletown, Tyne and Wear enjoyed a fang-tastic Halloween party on Thursday 31st October.

Halloween is an annual celebration that originated as an ancient Celtic festival where people would wear costumes to scare off ghosts. Since then, it has evolved into a day of fun festivities, including trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving.

The team at Northview Lodge wanted to organise a scarily good Halloween party for Residents, Head Chef, Ryan prepared a Halloween-themed buffet lunch and the lounge was decorated with spooky items. Some team members also wore fancy dress and Residents enjoyed singing and dancing from start to finish.

Northview Lodge Home Manager, Patrick Morley said: “All of our Residents were very excited for the day. Halloween is a popular celebration and many of our Residents excitedly told stories of what they used to do at Halloween when they were younger.”
