Colleagues and Residents at
Meadow Bank care home in Preston, which offers residential, nursing and nursing memory care, had an amazing week by having a carnival day on each unit.
There were games, ice-creams, lots of singing and bottles of bubbly which were enjoyed all round. Games such as hook a duck, crazy golf, skittles, darts and tin can alley went down a storm, and the music could be heard throughout the home for everyone to enjoy. The smiles all round were a lovely sight to see for everyone.
Staff really enjoyed the fun, singing and dancing and seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces. The Residents loved the ice-cream, the music and games.
One Resident commented, “We loved everything it was nice to just have fun.”
Anne-Marie Potter, Care Home Manager, remarked, “The day was enjoyed by everyone and brought some much-needed fun and joy to us all. We are now looking to introduce more themed days once a month.”
