Carnarvon Primary School visit brings joy to Nottingham care home residentsThe residents of HC-One’s Fosse Way View Care Home in Bingham, Nottingham, enjoyed a visit from Year 3 pupils of Carnarvon School, who brought smiles and creativity to the home in celebration of Mother’s Day.

The visit was arranged by Fiona Benning, Wellbeing Coordinator at Fosse Way View, who invited the children to take part in a special activity—making Mother’s Day cards and bunches of daffodils. The children eagerly joined in, sitting in the home’s garden under the warm sunshine alongside the residents.

The children tied ribbons around the bunches of daffodils and crafted beautiful handmade cards. These unique cards featured a flowerpot design on them, using paint to make handprint impressions, creating a lovely keepsake for Mother’s Day.

Miss Nicholls, a teacher at Carnarvon Primary School, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, saying:

“A big thank you to Fosse Way View for inviting us to come and spend the afternoon making lovely gifts and cards for Mother’s Day. The children and staff had a wonderful time, and we look forward to many more visits in the future.”

Fiona Benning, Wellbeing Coordinator at HC-One’s Fosse Way View Care Home said:

“The children were brilliant and so well-behaved. The residents had a great time, and we can't wait to have the children back for our next event at Easter.”

The team at Fosse Way View eagerly anticipates the children’s next visit to the home, continuing to build a warm and engaging intergenerational relationships with the young students of Carnarvon Primary School.
