HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home in Cradley Health hosted their annual Summer Fete with a Caribbean twist on Saturday 21st July.
Residents, staff and visitors gathered at Roxburgh House to celebrate and socialise at the home’s Caribbean-themed Summer Fete. A variety of fun-filled activities were on offer, including stalls, a steelpan performer, a tombola, food stalls and tropical games like the limbo and coconut shy.
The sun was shining and everyone had a great day, with an impressive £886 being raised throughout the day which has all been donated to the Resident’s Comfort Fund.
Donations to the raffle included a signed West Bromwich Albion football, electrical goods from Chapmans and admissions tickets to West Midland Safari & Leisure Park.
Resident’s commented that they had a lovely day, with most saying their favourite thing was the authentic Caribbean jerk chicken.
Roxburgh House Care Home Manager, Julie Jones said:
“Thank you to all of my colleagues who have worked so hard to organise such a memorable day for our Residents and visitors. It was amazing to receive such generous prizes from the local community and raise such an impressive amount for the Resident’s Comfort Fund.”
