Residents at Hyde’s
The Sycamores residential and residential memory care enjoyed a trip out on the minibus to Holmfirth this afternoon.
Three Residents, including Joyce, Ron and Derek, all pictured, were taken out for a trip and enjoyed a lovely drive out into the country with the most scenic views!
They stopped off at an ice-cream parlour where they enjoyed freshly made raspberry and white chocolate ice-creams whilst seated on the bus.
Derek took pleasure in helping staff to order and bringing back ice creams for everybody. He also enjoyed waving to people who passed by from the window of the minibus.
Renee Bell, Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “Whilst driving around we stopped to look at cattle, a spread of wild flowers and also enjoyed people watching as they shopped around the village.”
The Residents were pleased to get out and about and fun was had by all!
One of the Residents remarked, “I’ve always enjoyed going for a scenic drive, me and our Ron used to drive about a lot, it makes me feel so calm and relaxed.”
Renee added, “I am very pleased the Residents are getting the full use of activities again, amazing to see them getting out in the community and socialising outside of the home.”
