Care Home Open Week plans at The Orchard care homeAs Care Home Open Week is soon approaching, many homes across HC-One are preparing for a fun filled week.

The Orchard care home are planning a very exciting open day for the Residents, staff, and members of the local community.

The open day is taking place on the 2nd of July. 

There will be lots to do including many different stalls. There will be a raffle, tombola, and cake sale to help in raising money for the Residents Fund. The fund will be helping to purchase an interactive table for Residents to enjoy. The Orchards would like to say a huge thank you for the donations they have already received from the local community and shops.

As well as this, singing sensation Christian will be providing entertainment all afternoon. The Alloa Fire Service will be paying a visit to the home to show one of their fire engines. Residents and guests will be able to take a look around the vehicle.

Additionally, the Deputy Manager will be bringing her horses along to the open day for everyone to feed, brush and clap.

Alongside the activities there will be lots of treats including ice-cream, burgers, hotdogs, and many other refreshments.

The Wellbeing Coordinators, commented, “We are looking forward to seeing all the Residents smiling faces when they see the horses and when they are singing and dancing with Christian.”

Fiona Johnstone, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It will be great to welcome everyone back into the care home and show them all the lovely refurbishment. The Residents are really looking forward to the day too.”
