Care Home Open Day at Jack DormandHC-One’s Jack Dormand in Peterlee, County Durham, welcomed the local community to celebrate the sixth annual Care Home Open Day in style on 21st April.

The family of HC-One homes across the UK took part in activities throughout the day, with Jack Dormand welcoming the local Salvation Army to sing to everyone.

Resident Hazel, who was later crowned as queen of Jack Dormand, played the piano whilst Residents, families and guests from Robinson House sang “You Are My Sunshine”.

Everyone loved a homemade afternoon tea with Prosecco made by the fantastic kitchen staff Emma and Donna, wearing polka dot aprons to keep with the classic theme of the day.

Making the most of the sunshine, there were various games in the garden including skittles, hula-hoops, Connect Four and graft activities.

Jack Dormand’s Home Manger, Marie Shillaw said:

“Thank you to all who came to join us for our Care Home Open Day. We all had a wonderful time watching Churches Together and really enjoyed our amazing afternoon tea and prosecco.”
