Care Home Open Day at Grampian CourtHC-One’s Grampian Court Care Home in Peterlee, County Durham, welcomed the local community to celebrate the sixth annual Care Home Open Day in style on 21st April.

The family of HC-One homes across the UK took part in activities throughout the day; with staff Grampian Court’s staff arriving at work dressed in costumes for Grampian’s World Book Day. Amongst the costumes were Peter Pan, Princess Fiona, Dennis the Menace and much more.

Residents and staff came together to sing “You Are My Sunshine”, where Residents held up posters of the sun, which they had painted and coloured especially for the occasion.

Mark Sylvester entertained Residents, staff and visitors with his performance of a wide range of songs from well-known artists in the 1960’s through to more modern favourites. There was a lot of singing and clapping and even some dancing.

Grampian Court’s Home Manager, Judith Tully said:

“The visitors that we had for our Care Home Open Day were given a guided tour of the home and invited to stay for refreshments. Some watched our performance of “You Are My Sunshine” and said that it was lovely to see everyone getting involved.

Thank you to everyone who came along and a special thanks to the team at Grampian Court.”
