Care Home Open Day at DrummohrHC-One’s Drummhor Care Home in Wallyford, Musselburgh welcomed the local community to celebrate the sixth annual Care Home Open Day in style on 21st April.

The family of HC-One homes across the UK took part in activities throughout the day, with Drummohr starting the day out with Residents and staff singing along to “You Are My Sunshine”, followed by the Residents singing along to songs of their choice.

Dancercise joined the home at lunchtime and put on an amazing performance for the Residents, shortly followed by a visit from Therapy Ponies Scotland. They brought along two Therapy Ponies and two Newfoundland Therapy Dogs who were spoilt rotten by Residents, relatives and staff.

In the afternoon Clark Community Choir joined the Residents and put on some amazing vocal renditions. Other activities that took place at Drummohr was an all-day disco, a barbeque to make the most of the beautiful sunshine and face painting.

Drummohr care Home Manager, Dawn Barrett said:

“Thank you to all who came to take part in Care Home Open Day with us. We all had a wonderful time sitting and chatting with our neighbours and a particular thanks to all of the groups who supported our home with their entertainment.”
