Care Home enjoys success at Summer Fete
As parts of the country enjoyed the warmest July in many years, Residents at HC-One’s Hinckley Park took the opportunity to bask in the sunshine and enjoyed their annual summer fete.

Residents, colleagues, friends, family and visitors were able to enjoy an array of activities including raffles, cakes and craft stalls and a very popular beer, cider and Pimms tent. There was plenty of food and drink on offer and the theme of the day was Cowboys and Indians!

Colleagues joined in the fun in fancy dress and the home was transformed into the Wild West including a special guest visit from a horse, which the Residents loved.

Afternoon activities included Zumba, and a sing along.

The home raised a whopping £363 for the Residents fund!

Sharon Butler, Home Manager, at HC-One’s Hinckley Park commented:

“The summer fete is a great way of bringing communities together and our Residents love the opportunity to meet new people and have some fun. The day was lovely and enjoyed by everyone who attended. None of it would have happened without all the help from staff, relatives, family, and friends. Thank you to everyone!”

Bill, Resident said:

“I really enjoyed the day, especially the cowboys and Indians theme because I love Western films. It was great to see all the staff dressed up.”
