Card making fun at Devizes care homeA crafty afternoon was had at HC-One’s Market Lavington care home, as Residents enjoyed welcoming a local crafter into the home to help with card making in the home.

A group of Residents and one of the home’s volunteers participated as the crafter came to the home, helping everyone with making cards specifically in an ‘Iris folding’ technique.

Everyone enjoyed learning about the history of the technique, choosing beautiful colours to add to their own card designs and learning the skill of card making.

One Resident remarked: “I enjoyed making the cards in a group, the end result was very pretty and getting the hang of such a tricky technique was so exciting.”
