Two managers from
Capwell Grange care home in Luton have attended an event with Helen Whately, Minister for Social Care, at Number 10 Downing Street.
The event titled ‘A Reception for Adult Social Care Workers at 10 Downing Street’, took place on Thursday 17 August.
Nicola Berry, Home Manager and Elena Chelea, Deputy Home Manager of HC-One’s Capwell Grange Care Home, and Stephen Butterworth, HC-One’s Executive Director of Operations, travelled to London to meet the government minister and discuss adult social care in the UK.
They joined a diverse range of staff from across the sector including registered managers, social workers, and care assistants.
Ms Berry said of their visit:
“It was an honour to represent my colleagues and HC-One at the Downing Street reception.
“As dedicated healthcare professionals we are very proud of providing the kindest possible care to our residents, and we welcomed the opportunity to discuss our work in such a prestigious setting.”
