Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Capwell Grange care home, in Luton, have been celebrating World Africa Day, which takes place every year on the 25th May.
As part of the programme of activities, Residents enjoyed Nigerian jollof rice followed by puff puffs dessert prepared by Lola Ajani, Capwell Grange’s Clinical Deputy Manager. Lola also wore her traditional dress, which received a number of fulsome compliments from the Residents.
The Residents also enjoyed colourful decorations, related activities, and most of all the African music which served as a backdrop to the occasion.
Nicola Berry, Home Manager, said: “This was a really wonderful occasion that everyone got involved in. The food was amazing and the whole day was a lot of fun for Residents and Colleagues alike.”
Situated in a pleasant residential area of Luton, Capwell Grange is a friendly care home with 146 beds, that offers residential, nursing and dementia care.
