Candyfloss sparks a reminiscent session at Hartlepool care homeResidents at HC-One’s Sheraton Court in Hartlepool enjoyed a reminiscent afternoon making candyfloss.

Ethel Leece, Freda Flounders, Margaret Byers, Maureen Poole, Marlene Wallace, Joyce Jameson, Margaret Lee and her husband Henry all got together to make candyfloss on an afternoon after lunch.

Whilst they worked, they reminisced about how the smell of the candyfloss reminded them of when they were younger and used to go to the headland carnival with their parents and when they used to take their own children to the carnival.

The best part was that everyone got to enjoy their creations once they had finished.

Everyone had a great day and enjoyed discussing all of the memories that the smell evoked, commenting:

“It’s so lovely; it reminds me of when I was a child.”
