Camelon care home Residents create personalised garden artResidents at HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor care home in Camelon recently had a trip to the garden to gather leaves and flowers, so they could create some wonderful personalised pieces of art.

After venturing out into the garden to gather leave and flowers and putting them all into a box, Residents picked their own items to use for their pieces of art. Residents put together their flowers and leaves on a piece of laminate with their names on, to truly make it their own.

Colleagues then took the laminating pouches from Residents, with their flowers and names in place, and put them through the laminating machine to preserve the flowers and leaves.

Kinnaird Manor Residents and Colleagues were amazed at just how effective this was. Some Residents wanted to put them on their wall’s others wanted to send them to their Relatives back home.

Margaret Hunter, a Resident at Kinnaird Manor said: “What a lovely thing to do at this time of the year when the leaves are turning and there are so many beautiful colours in the garden.”

Residents really enjoyed being out in the garden and observing the nature. They also loved watching what they had made come through the laminator, they were absolutely amazed.
