Senior Activities Coordinator, Ines Raposo, from the Cambridge Care Home is raising money to the Alzheimer’s Society by running 50 Km during October Month.
In the beginning, the target was £100. At the moment, she has already raised £148 and ran a little bit more than 35 km.
Since the home is close to external visits, any fundraised activities were cancelled.
Ines thought about fundraising by running, "Covid 19 changed our lives and is constantly challenging our strengths and wellbeing. Since a very young age running as being my self-care practise and the lockdown emphasised that, the importance of our wellbeing when to looking after others. "

Ines set up a fundraising account at Just Giving after publicising it on Facebook and the home’s newsletter to get more supporters.
