Residents and care colleagues from HC One’s Callands Care home, were thrilled when they were whisked away for a fun day out at Chester Zoo.
Although the weather was overcast, spirits were high as the Residents looked around the different animals and enclosures. Everyone enjoyed an alfresco lunch at one of the Zoo’s outdoor dining areas and as the sun finally shone, they indulged in an ice cream.
Residents visited the gift shop and picked out some souvenirs from the day.
There were so many animals to look at but the giraffes were a firm favourite and Resident Angela described them as “Beautiful!”
Home Manager, Joanne Goodwin, remarked:
“Everyone had a lovely time visiting the zoo. It is always a great trip and the weather stayed dry which is always good. Our Residents remained lively and talked about the trip for days afterwards and we will look forward to a return visit.”
