Caerphilly care home takes part in Alzheimer’s Memory WalkHC-One’s Trafalgar Park care home in Caerphilly took part in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk on Saturday 1st September.

Five Residents and seven members of the care team accompanied by friends and family took part in the 2km Memory Walk set in the beautiful grounds of Bute Park in Cardiff.

The group were in high spirits throughout their walk, all wearing their matching t-shirts and blue glitter. When arriving back at the care home everyone cheered and celebrated their amazing achievement. 

Residents who participated had a great time from start to finish and one Resident, Gwyneth Evans even appeared on television after being filmed by the national media. 

Together, everyone managed to raise over £150 for the Alzheimer’s Society, which will help to fund vital research which aims to improve care for people with dementia and ultimately finding a cure.
