Residents at HC-One’s
Chaseview care home in Burntwood very much enjoyed celebrating VE Day this year, with the many activities they took part in, they felt very patriotic.
The Residents sang their hearts out to the good classics whilst waving their flags with pride. They all then enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and cake to settle in the afternoon.
All the singing and dancing had really taken it out of the Residents so they sat down and spoke with Colleagues about how pleased they were with the decorations that had been put up to mark the occasion.
Whilst sipping their tea, some Residents were happy sharing their memories from the war, some could even remember exactly where and what they were doing when Churchill gave the speech to say the war was over in Europe.
Just outside the town of Burntwood, four miles west of Lichfield in Staffordshire, Chaseview is a purpose-built care home with 60 beds, offering residential, nursing and memory care for those living with dementia.
