Residents enjoyed an evening of quizzes and games for this year’s Burns Night at HC-One’s Woodlands View in Stevenage.
They started the day with an active morning of laughter as everyone joined in with a playful balloon game. Once Residents were warmed up, they flexed their brain muscles with a tricky quiz about all things Scottish.
Residents taste-tested haggis and neeps and, although many weren’t keen on the taste, they happily washed it down with a wee dram of whisky and lemonade to warm them up on a chilly January afternoon.
After lunch, everyone joined in with a Scottish sing-a-long, singing and dancing along to tracks like ‘I Love a Lassie’ and, of course, ‘Donald Where’s Your Troosers?”
One Resident commented: “This is really good – we should do it more often! We’ll look forward to the next one.”
Everyone enjoyed their fun-packed day of games, food and dancing before settling down for an evening of tea and chatter.
Woodlands View Wellbeing Coordinator, Joanne, said: “It was a lovely day enjoyed by all.”
