Melbury Court held a Burns Night Celebration with a visit from the Bishops Pipers, Kenny and Kevin. The pipers played on all floors and entertained the Residents with a variety of Scottish music.
Residents enjoyed whisky and shortbread. Evening meal menu included the chef’s choice of Haggis neep’s and tatties, followed by chranachan for dessert. Residents painted Scottish flags in an arts and crafts class to help decorate the home.
A great day was had by all at Melbury Court, especially for Eileen Mathews and Margaret Barker as they celebrated their birthday.
Margaret was especially over the moon as she also celebrated her 93rd birthday and the piper’s played happy birthday for her, she said:
"I feel special because they did that for my birthday."
