Residents and Colleagues at Cheshire based care home, Overdene House, celebrated Burns Night in style today.
Poems from Robbie Burns were read out to Residents and accompanied by some traditional Scottish music on the new voice assistant device which Home Manager Cath Burns had purchased. Residents particularly enjoyed the bagpipe music and staff recitals.
The chef at Overdene served up some haggis, tatties and neeps and everyone had whiskey or wine which was just delightful!
One Resident remarked, “Lovely, just what we needed,” as fellow Residents enjoyed trying the food and drink and experimenting with the hats.
Cath commented, “It was great to see all Residents laughing and singing for Burns Night!”
