Celebrations were had at HC-One’s Dove Court care home, as Residents and Colleagues enjoyed a party in honour of Chinese New Year.
Residents spent the morning getting creative as they made lanterns out of coloured cardboard and decorated them with various Chinese symbols.
The lanterns were decorated around the home for everyone to see, before the celebrations in the afternoon.
A delicious meal was enjoyed by all, consisting of Chinese delicacies and snacks, Residents enjoyed eating with chop sticks as they joked with one another about how they were holding them in a funny way.
Catherine Brierley, home manager, commented: “A lovely afternoon was had by all, the decorations looked wonderful and we enjoyed a very cultural day.”
