Dove Court care home Manager Catherine Brierley, celebrated her 40th birthday in true fashion when she received a lovely surprise; a socially distanced tea party outside in the garden with sandwiches, cakes and presents from Colleagues.
Catherine, who is commonly known around the home as ‘Cat’ started working at Dove Court as a carer in Robin House. Then she moved to Wellbeing Coordinator, but it didn’t just end there. Cat decided to go to UNCLAN University to gain her Nursing degree and then returned to Dove Court as a nurse on night shifts to then become Unit Manager of Robin house.
Cat later became Clinical Services Manager and then for a short spell managed HC-One’s Old Gates care home. Then she finally achieved her dream job of becoming Dove Court’s Home Manager.
Cat was overwhelmed by the effort everyone had gone to for her special birthday and commented, “It was a lovely surprise and a lovely day. It was my ambition to one day manage Dove Court and here I am”.
